(ADDISON, ON) – An individual was arrested and charged with impaired driving and other offences after having failed to stop for police.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a member of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle travelling on County Road 7 completely covered in snow with no plates and improper headlights. The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop.
The vehicle ran out of fuel and was located with the driver moments later. The driver was taken into custody, and the vehicle had no valid insurance. As a result of the investigation, 45-year-old Archibald GRAHAM of Addison has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
- Flight from peace officer
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
- Drive motor vehicle, no plates
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on January 16, 2026. Their driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
