(MONTEITH, ON) – The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following an arrest in Iroquois Falls.
On Monday, March 30, 2026, shortly before 12:30 p.m., members of the South Porcupine Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual on outstanding warrants. On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m., the individual went into medical distress while in custody and required medical assistance. The individual was transported by ambulance to a hospital.
