Another School Went Into Lockdown #ItsTime

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 12:03 p.m., officers from the Barrie Police Service attended to a report of a robbery that had taken place earlier in a wooded area south of Little Ave. and east of Bayview Dr., in the City of Barrie.

The investigation initially led police to a nearby secondary school that was placed in lockdown. A short time later, the lockdown was lifted after police located and arrested a number of students who were believed to have been involved.

Four youths were transported to Barrie Police Headquarters where the investigation continued under the direction of detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division. As this investigation advanced, detectives determined that the arrested youths were not involved in the robbery, and they were all released unconditionally with no charges being laid.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

This investigation remains ongoing and further details will be provided only when they become available.
