(DRYDEN, ON) – The province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following an incident at the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On Monday, October 6, 2025, an individual went into medical distress while in police custody. Officers responded and initiated life-saving measures until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The individual was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.
