(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – One driver was arrested for driving while impaired by drug, during a traffic stop by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kirkland Lake.
On January 2,2025, at 6:45 p.m. the Kirkland Lake OPP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed failing to maintain its lane on Government Road West, in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
As a result of the investigation, Ana PRASCEVIC, a 32-year-old from Toronto, has been charged with operation while impaired – drugs.
The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on January 30, 2025.
Kirkland Lake and surrounding area is reminded that whether someone is impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired and driving under the influence of either is a criminal offence.
