(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – Two individuals are facing charges following an assault investigation in Haldimand County.
On Tuesday February 3, 2026, at approximately 9:20 a.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault that occurred on Lock Street, Dunnville.
The investigation determined that a physical altercation erupted between three people at that address.
Amanda MCCARTHY, 34-years-old of Dunnville and Tyson MERRITT, 35-years-old of Hamilton have each been charged with one count of Assault.
Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on March 3, 2026 and March 10, 2026, respectively.
