(LATFCHORD, ON) – The Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual following a traffic complaint on Highway 11.
On January 27, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., police received a complaint regarding a vehicle driving aggressively and swerving on Highway 11, south of Latchford. Officers located the vehicle shortly thereafter and conducted a traffic stop.
Following an investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired and transported to the Temiskaming Detachment for further testing.
As a result, Alexandre HOTTIN-LAMPRON, 29 years of age, of Senneterre, Quebec, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days under Ontario’s Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program, and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on March 10, 2026.
