Abdurrahman BHAIYAT – Impaired Driving

(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On November 16, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Wellington Road 18, Fergus.

During the operation, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety. As a result of the investigation, Abdurrahman BHAIYAT, of Scarborough, was charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code
• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on December 17, 2024.
