4 Arrested In Drug Bust

(ALLISTON, ON.) – On November 29^th, at approximately 2:22 p.m., members of the of Nottawasaga Detachment Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) charged 4 individuals in relation to several drug related offences after a traffic stop, in the Town of New Tecumseth.

Officers from CRU conducted a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle with an obstructed rear plate, South Bound on 8^th Ave. The driver was identified and known to police as a suspended driver. The driver was arrested for this offence and searched incident to arrest.

While officers on scene continued their investigation, they were engaged with 3 other occupants in the vehicle. While identifying each occupant, the officers observed a zip lock baggie containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. The vehicle was seized as proceeds of crime and upon completion of the investigation, officers seized the suspected cocaine, $1,605 in cash, and 2 cellphones as evidence to the offence of trafficking.

All parties were arrested and charged with the following:

Darryl Berdan 40-years-old of Alliston:

• Fail to Comply with Probation Order -3 counts
• Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Obstruct plate
• Driving while under suspension

The male party was held for a bail hearing and is to re-appear in court December 2^nd .

Joline Stewart 41-years-old of Adjala-Tosorontio:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
• Trafficking in Schedule I substance- Cocaine

Released on Form 10 with a future court date of January 2nd, 2024

Jeffery Hollingshead 47-years-old of Alliston:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
• Trafficking in Schedule I substance- Cocaine

Released on Form 10 with a future court date of January 2nd, 2024

Daniel Norrie 44-years-old of Alliston:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
• Trafficking in Schedule I substance- Cocaine
