3 Dead Following Collision

(OXFORD, ON) – Three individuals are deceased following a collision in Norwich Township involving a transport truck and a sport utility vehicle (SUV).

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Fire, and Emergency Medical Services responded to a collision at the intersection of Highway 59 and Quaker Street in Norwich Township.

Three occupants in the SUV suffered serious life-threatening injuries and were pronounced deceased on scene. Two other occupants in the vehicle were also transported to hospital by Ornge and Ambulance to be treated for serious life-threatening injuries The driver of the transport truck was uninjured.

Oxford OPP along with members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continue to investigate the collision.

Highway 59 at Quaker Street will remain closed for the next several hours to allow for investigation.

Investigators are asking residents and businesses along with members of the motoring public to check their security surveillance or dash camera footage in the event that they captured the collision, or the vehicles involved.
