A 54‑year‑old Cobourg man is facing charges following a police response to a disturbance at a local business on Sunday night.
On April 26, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a call for a disturbance at a business in the area of King Street West and Spring Street in Cobourg.
Officers located a group of individuals on the property. The group left the area when directed. During the investigation, officers identified one individual who was in breach of a release order prohibiting attendance at the location.
As a result, a 54-year-old Cobourg man was arrested for breaching release conditions. During the arrests, police located a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl. The man was charged with Fail to Comply with Release Order, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine. The accused was held for a show cause hearing.
