(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual following a family dispute involving weapons.
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Manitoulin OPP responded to a family dispute involving weapons at a residence on Howland Street in Little Current. Information received indicated that the involved person assaulted another individual in the home, and that the assault involved multiple weapons including a machete. Police responded to the area and located the individual on a nearby street, where they were subsequently arrested. The person injured was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result, Morrison PELTIER, 19-years-old from Little Current, was charged with:
- Assault with a weapon – two counts
- Assault cause bodily harm
- Disobeying order of court
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
