Jonathon MOSS – Cocaine, Impaired Operation

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – A driver is facing charges following a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check in Little Current.

On Thursday, March 5, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE check on Meredith Street East in Little Current. A vehicle approached the RIDE and was observed swerving. When officers spoke with the driver, they observed signs consistent with impairment. A roadside breath demand was made for an Approved Screening Device (ASD), and the driver registered an “FAIL”. The driver was subsequently arrested.

Additionally, police seized an amount of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $280.

The driver, Jonathon MOSS, 31-years-old from Little Current, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Being intoxicated in public place
  • Dangerous operation
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
