Egypt BLAEDOW – Drunk Driving

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) – A Town of Golden Lake resident is facing Criminal Code (CC) and Highway Traffic Act (HTA) charges after members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch.

On the morning of February 22, 2026, police responded to a single vehicle that had entered the ditch on Highway 41. As part of the investigation, a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result of this investigation 19-year-old Egypt BLAEDOW has been charged with the following CC and HTA offences:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 23, 2026.
