(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Lanark Highlands Township resident with impaired driving.
On Saturday, February 14, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers, while on patrol on McDonalds Corners Road in Tay Valley Township, located a vehicle in the ditch just after 6:00 p.m.
After speaking with the male, the driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.
As a result of the investigation, Riley DRUMMOND, 31-years-old, has been charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 23, 2026.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
