Sheehan LAROCHE – Drunk Driving

(LAURENTIAN HILLS, ON) – A Town of Deep River resident is facing Criminal Code (CC) and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA) charges after the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle that had went into the ditch.

In the afternoon of February 7, 2026, members of the UOV OPP responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the Town of Laurentian Hills. Police located the vehicle and the driver on Highway 17. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

As a result of the incident 35-year-old Sheehan LAROCHE has been charged with the following CC and CAIA offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 3, 2026.
