(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – A Guelph driver is charged following a collision outside of Erin.
On February 4, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision on Trafalgar Road outside of Erin involving a sedan and a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
As a result of the investigation, Mc Kayla PETERSON, a 25-year-old from Guelph, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation causing bodily harm
Occupants of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries, with two individuals transported to a local hospital.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on March 20, 2026.
