(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On October 2, 2025, at approximately 2:24 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program along Queen Street South in Paisley.
A vehicle entered the area, where an officer observed a passenger known to them from previous dealings; and knew them to be violating existing terms of release. They were taken into custody without incident. A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of 4 grams of suspected fentanyl, 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and 11 grams of suspected cocaine.
Angus MACASKILL, 40-years-old, resident of West Grey, has been charged with:
- Failure to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a) – two counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1) – four counts
The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
