For over two months arsonists were setting fires around Wingham risking lives and property. This obvious threat to public safety was kept quiet by current Wingham Police Chief Tim Poole. This is just the latest incident that shows the incompetence and blatant corruption that is clearly rampant in the Wingham Police Service. According to other media, Cody Priestap, 22, of Wingham and a 15-year-old youth from Lucknow have both been charged with arson.
It seems chief Poole has quit doing his job, or maybe he never did do it properly and with honor. Refusing to notify the Public of an arsonist threat is clearly dereliction of duty. Refusing to recuse the Wingham police from the August Atrocities investigation and assigning it to Foxton was clearly a corrupt decision. Foxton waiting until the police budget was approved to start the investigation was clearly wrong. Foxton stalling for 130 days in a 120 investigation before letting the “real police” take over is clearly corrupt. Now control is out of their hands.
The August Atrocities investigation has been taken over by another police service, and there is a very good chance all will be held to account, including Reeve Neil Vincent, Officer Kevin MacAdam, Yolanda Ritsema-Teeninga, Brock Vodden and Kathy Adams.
