(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) -Members of the County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called advising of an impaired driver that was in the area of Pinehurst Road in the County of Brant at approximately 2:55 a.m. on July 27 2017.
OPP officers attended the area and located the vehicle Pinehurst Road in the County of Brant. During the investigation officers determined that the driver of the 2008 black Chevrolet was impaired by alcohol.
Police have charged 39-year-old Amanda GILES of The City of Brantford with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
Care and Control of a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol.
Care and Control of a motor vehicle with blood alcohol over 80 mgs.
She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to her charges. . If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
