KERR Arrested For Drunk Driving

(BLUEWATER, ON) – A teenager from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is facing charges after he was arrested for Impaired Operation – 80 Plus this past weekend.   

On February 14, 2021 at approximately 6:25 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call about a pickup truck that was stuck in the ditch on Goshen Line north of Zurich. 

Shortly thereafter a Huron County OPP officer arrived on scene to find the pickup truck stuck in the ditch in heavy snow. The investigating officer spoke with the driver and it was observed the driver had consumed some alcohol. Accordingly a roadside screening device was used and the driver registered a fail. This resulted in police arresting the accused and transporting him to the Clinton OPP Detachment for breath tests.        

The driver provided two samples of breath to the qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both tests registered above the legal limit. 

Evan KERR, 18 years of age from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus and Novice Driver – Driver above Zero Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC).  The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 15, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
